Report: LeBron and Lakers wondering what his future health will hold

With LeBron James’ season coming to close, there have been questions about whether this is the beginning of a new start of James’ career.

James missing the playoffs for the first time since 2005 have raised lots of questions in the media and apparently those questions have been going through James himself.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst wrote that James, the people closest to him and the Lakers organization are wondering whether LeBron’s previously impeccable run of health is something James won’t get to again.

Is this season health-related, age-related or interest-level related? Bits of all three? Is this just like James’ relatively underwhelming first years in Miami and back in Cleveland, or his Michael Jordan in Washington years?

These are questions sometimes being asked within the Lakers organization, within James’ own support team and even by James himself.

It’s fascinating to see that James is wondering if this is the start of a career downturn as well. There were some signs of decline in a few statistical areas this past season, but James was still dominant. However, he wasn’t dominant enough to will the Lakers to at least a playoff berth, which is a new world for James to be living in no matter what the future may hold.
