Report: LB Paul Worrilow signing with Jets after brief retirement

The Jets have talked another player out of retirement.

That would be LB Paul Worrilow, who is signing with New York, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. The veteran signed with the Ravens a few months back, but then decided to retire just a day later. Now, he’s appeared to have had a change of heart and will join the linebacker-needy Jets.

A starter in Atlanta from 2013-2015, Worrilow’s entire 2018 season was wiped out due to injury. A member of the Eagles at the time, he was in Philadelphia when Jets GM Joe Douglas was there.

Worrilow has played in 72 games in his career, making 52 starts. He has 413 tackles, 15 for a loss, four sacks, 18 QB hits, two interceptions and 11 passes defended for his career. He last played in 2017 for the Lions, making eight starts.
