Report: Lakers G Rajon Rondo available to play Monday at Celtics

As the Los Angeles Lakers go into Boston, they will have a weapon who knows Boston better than most. Rajon Rondo, the Lakers reserve guard who has missed three games since delivering his best performance of the season on Jan. 11, will be available to play for L.A. on Monday night against the Celtics, according to Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group.

The Lakers have gone 2-1 in the games without Rondo, which has also come during Anthony Davis’ five-game absence. While the Lakers are getting reinforcements tonight in the form of Rondo and Davis, the Celtics themselves are also getting some bodies back tonight, particularly starting point guard Kemba Walker.

Although Walker has yet to win a game in his career against LeBron James, he definitely adds a wrinkle for the Lakers to deal with defensively. Walker’s range from beyond the 3-point line, as well as the wing depth the Celtics have, should give the Lakers a difficult night. Even if Rondo is healthy.
