Report: Kyler Murray ‘limps’ after first practice as Arizona Cardinal

Kyler Murray is the No. 1 overall pick of 2019. He won’t forget his first practice with the Arizona Cardinals. You could say he got off on the wrong foot, or feet.

The Heisman-winning quarterback out of Oklahoma had a hitch in his step after the team’s workout Friday.

Murray limped to the podium after rookie mini-camp. He wasn’t injured, not in the least. Rather, he chose the wrong cleats to wear. The pair he used were not broken in properly and, like any other pair of shoes, they made a sour impression, according to ESPN.com.

“My feet hurt a little bit,” Murray said. “It’s been a long time since I put cleats on. I’ve been running around. The cleats were pretty new.”
