Report: Kenny Britt taking free-agent visit with Redskins

The Washington Redskins have a visit lined up with veteran wideout Kenny Britt.

News of the visit comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Given the team’s struggles at wideout, this isn’t exactly shocking — if anything, the surprise is the Redskins haven’t been more active in this regard.

Britt, 30, is a former first-round pick in 2009 who spent time with two different teams in 2017 and got cut in New England last year after suffering an injury.

As the report hints, Britt put up his only 1,000-yard season in Los Angeles, scoring five touchdowns in the process. Presumably, Britt wouldn’t be on the field as a starter for the Redskins and Case Keenum isn’t assured the starting job.

The Redskins added Paul Richardson last year and lost Jamison Crowder this offseason, so a Britt signing wouldn’t stop the spot from being a need.
