Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic will now be represented by one of the most prominent agents in all of sports.
Nurkic has reportedly switched agents, and he is going to sign with Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. Nurkic, 25, was previously represented by Aylton Tesch of Dynasty Sports Management.
Paul is the agent for NBA players such as LeBron James, Ben Simmons and Anthony Davis among others.
Nurkic is heading into his sixth season, and he’s rehabbing a left leg injury he suffered in March. Nurkic is expected to return in February, per Neil Olshey, the Trail Blazers’ president of basketball operations. Olshey mentioned Nurkic’s expected return time during a Trail Blazers NBA Summer League game this offseason.
Last season, Nurkic played in 72 games and had a career year. He averaged a career-high 15.6 points per game, and he also tied a career-high for rebounds per game (10.4). Since Nurkic was traded to Portland from the Denver Nuggets in 2017, he has nearly averaged a double-double with the Trail Blazers, according to Basketball Reference.
