New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman was arrested on Saturday night for misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly jumping on the hood and damaging someone’s Mercedes, according to TMZ. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the report on Sunday morning.
This isn’t Edelman’s only run-in with the law. He was arranged on one count of indecent assault and battery in 2011 after being charged with groping a woman at a Halloween party at a Boston bar.
Edelman, 31, and the Patriots lost in the AFC wild-card round last week, and were therefore eliminated from the playoffs.

Julian was in [Beverly] Hills walking around at around 9PM when for some unknown reason he hopped up on the car, causing damage. Bad news for Julian … cops were in the area working a robbery case, when someone flagged them down and gave them the low down. Edelman was arrested, cited for misdemeanor vandalism and released. He left with his friends. Our law enforcement sources say it was apparent to them Julian had been drinking … which might explain a lot about the incident.
Edelman is set to undergo a pair of procedures for his knee and shoulder this offseason after he logged 100 receptions, 1,117 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season.
