A New Jersey judge dismissed an order of protection against New York Giants safety Kamrin Moore that stemmed from an alleged domestic abuse incident in early July, reports the New York Post.
A New Jersey judge dismissed an order of protection in favor of a woman who accused New York Giants player Kam Moore of cold-cocking her, then stomping on her neck — a sign that the case against the safety may be in trouble.
Superior Court Judge Frederic McDaniel on Wednesday dropped the protective order barring Moore from any contact with Hilda Polanco after determining that “the plaintiff’s allegation of domestic violence has not been substantiated,” court papers say.
Moore had been arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated assault after the woman informed police that the Giants safety had stepped on her throat and later punched her in the face, causing her to lose consciousness.
The entire incident allegedly took place at Moore’s place of residence after the unidentified woman, who claimed to have been dating Moore since January, showed up following a series of unanswered texts and found another woman in the home.
Moore and his legal representation have denied the accusations from the onset, but the Giants chose to suspended the safety until the legal process plays itself out.
Following the judge’s dismissal of the order of protection, Moore’s attorney called it “vindication.”
