Report: Josh Rosen considered skipping offseason workout program

So far this offseason, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen has made all the right moves. Despite swirling rumors he could be traded so Arizona can select Kyler Murray first overall in the draft, he has said little and been a model citizen in terms of the team.

He was the first to show up for offseason workouts even though there was some question whether he would arrive at all.

He did consider not participating, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo.

“He has tried to tune out the noise,” Garofolo said on Up to the Minute. “He’s not thrilled with how this has played out and thought about not coming in for the offseason program.”

However, instead of sulking or making a scene his approach has been, Rosen has put the team first.

“I’m going to put my head down, I’m going to be the best quarterback and teammate I can be and see what happens,” Rosen said.

Garofolo said Rosen “is still very attached to the Cardinals franchise.”

That approach is what has earned the respect of his teammates and from those in the building. Coach Kingsbury has been done nothing but praise Rosen and say how talented and tough he is.

The next week will perhaps clear up the immediate future but until then, there is uncertainty and speculation about his future.
