Report: Jordan Phillips’ new deal worth $10M per year

The Arizona Cardinals reportedly agreed to terms on a three-year contract with former Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Jordan Phillips. According to a report, it is the most the Cardinals have spent on a defensive lineman since Calais Campbell.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and shared by ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, the three-year contract is worth $30 million.

Since Calais Campbell left in 2017, the largest defensive line contract the Cardinals have given was Darius Philon last year at two years for $10 million.

The Cardinals had approximately $21 million in cap space after their agreed trade for receiver DeAndre Hopkins. We will see soon what Phillips’ cap number is for 2020.

Without other salary-saving moves, the Cardinals won’t be able to do much else in free agency right now and they still have needs to fill.
