Most onlookers would probably agree Joe Burrow to the Cincinnati Bengals is a perfect fit.
Burrow, the Ohio kid, coming home to breathe new life into a downtrodden franchise is something right out of Hollywood.
And people around Burrow would apparently agree.
According to Brandon Saho of WLWT, one source close to Burrow calls his going to the Bengals “the best thing that could possibly happen” before describing it as “a perfect fit.”
Not that onlookers should’ve needed more proof that Burrow to the Bengals is merely a formality at this point. The team maxed its pre-draft time with the LSU star while going over the offense and has generally made it clear quarterback is the priority.
Still, it doesn’t hurt to have another report from those around Burrow liking the idea of Cincinnati. His hometown of Athens rests about three hours outside the city and he’s currently residing there, where he’ll participate in Thursday’s virtual draft.
