Report: Jets working out Cody Parkey

There could be life after “double doink” for Cody Parkey.

The kicker dispatched by the Chicago Bears after his fabled miss in a playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly is getting a look from the New York Jets.

Per the tabloid:

The Daily News has learned that Gang Green held kicker tryouts with Cody Parkey and Younghoe Koo Saturday as they continue to search for an answer at the position.

Gang Green is in the keeping quandary because Tyler Bertolet had a miserable preseason, finishing by missing three field-goal attempts in the final game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Of course, the Jets put themselves in this spot by letting Jason Myers sign with the Seattle Seahawks after 33-36 fiekl goals in 2018.

Parkey was 23-of-30 for Chicago in the regular season. He previously kicked for the Eagles, Dolphins and Browns. Jets coach Adam Gase was in Miami when Parkey was there in 2017.

Koo had a short run with the Chargers that season, missing 5 of 9 attempts. He resurfaced in the defunct AAF.

If these two don’t work out, there is always Carli Lloyd.
