Report: Jets give Le’Veon Bell a decision deadline

The Jets will not be waiting forever on a decision by star free agent running back Le’Veon Bell.

According to The Athletic’s Connor Hughes, New York has given Bell a deadline to decide if he will sign with them or not.

The latest on Bell is that the Jets made a new offer that was their final and best offer, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. However, Rapoport added that the Ravens are still in on him, with Bell indicating that he likes Baltimore.

With Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr backing out of his deal with New York, the Jets are not playing games with Bell. They want him to make a decision on their terms or else they are moving on.

The Jets have too many needs right now and can’t be held up on Bell. If the Jets do not end up landing the 26-year-old tailback, they have interest in Falcons running back Tevin Coleman and can also wait until the draft to add a running back.
