It was reported that free agent running back Jay Ajayi is going to visit the Indianapolis Colts this week, and there now reportedly is a date for that visit.
While the Colts have been extremely inactive this offseason when it comes to outside options in free agency, Ajayi is reportedly meeting with the Colts on Wednesday per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Colts don’t have a need at running back this offseason, but some depth would be welcomed. With Marlon Mack leading the charge after a very encouraging sophomore season, Indy likes their current backfield.
However, Ajayi does have some history working with head coach Frank Reich during the 2017 season after he was traded from the Miami Dolphins.
It will be interesting to see if Ajayi and the Colts will strike ground on a deal, but we will have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
