After coming down awkwardly on a blocked dunk attempt against the Houston Rockets, James Wiseman was sidelined for the remainder of the Golden State Warriors 129-105 win on Saturday night.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 2020 second overall pick suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee against the Rockets. While no timetable has been officially set, the Warriors fear Wiseman could be out for the remainder of the season, per Charania.

During his first season in Golden State out of Memphis, Wiseman is averaging 11.5 points on 51.9% from the floor with 5.8 boards and 0.9 blocks in 21.4 minutes per contest.
The 20-year-old has notched three double-doubles in 39 games. Prior to his injury against the Rockets, Wiseman recorded double-figures in scoring in two consecutive games.
If Wiseman isn’t able to return to the floor for Golden State’s stretch run, Kevon Looney will likely return to the starting lineup. The veteran big is averaging 3.7 points on 56.5% from the floor with four rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest.
Steve Kerr could also opt to use a small-ball lineup with Draymond Green leading the frontcourt. However, the Warriors will have to get creative up-front with Eric Paschall also sidelined due to a hip injury.
On Monday, the Warriors are slated to meet Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets at 7 p.m. PT.
