REPORT: Jags trade CB Jalen Ramsey to Rams

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey wanted out of Jacksonville, and he got his wish Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jags have traded the fourth-year cornerback to the Los Angeles Rams. In exchange for the move, they will be receiving two first-round picks (2020 and 2021) and a fourth-rounder in 2021. The move comes the same day the Rams traded CB Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens.

Ramsey has long hinted at wanting to potentially play for another team. However, it appears things got worse after the young corner got into an exchange with Jaguars football operations chief Tom Coughlin, which left him feeling disrespected after Week 2’s loss against the Houston Texans. As a result, he went to his agent, David Mulugheta, and told him to work out something to get him out of Jacksonville.

Now, Ramsey will get the new start he was seemingly hoping for, and it will come with defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and former teammates Blake Bortles and Dante Fowler Jr. With the Rams also being a postseason contender, he also may get a shot at the Super Bowl this winter.
