REPORT: Jags not only interested in Nick Foles, considering Teddy Bridgewater, too

Per ESPN Adam Schefter, the Jacksonville Jaguars are interested in New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, however, the belief is that the team is still leaning more towards Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.

Bridgewater, 26, is set to become a free agent if not re-signed by the New Orleans Saints at the beginning of the new league year, which is set for March 14 at 4:00 PM EST. This news comes after the Saints traded for Bridgewater during the 2018 season, giving the New York Jets a 2019 sixth-round draft pick in exchange.

Over the course of this offseason, Foles had emerged as the guy for Jacksonville by the accounts of most. They currently have his former quarterbacks coach, John DeFilippo, on the roster who coached Foles during the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory.

As for Bridgewater, he’ll enter free agency with 6,368 passing yards to his name with 29 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. While with the Saints, he started in their season finale completing 60.9 percent of his passes for 118 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
