Report: Jags LT Cam Robinson avoids major knee injury after undergoing MRI

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson avoided a major knee injury after leaving Sunday’s battle against the Cincinnati Bengals. The news comes after the fourth-year tackle underwent an MRI, which seemingly revealed no major damage.

Robinson’s injury occurred in the fourth quarter and Robinson was ruled questionable to return though he didn’t. Will Richardson was inserted in the game to replace him and that will likely be who plays for him Sunday against the Houston Texans if Robinson is unable to suit up.

During his meeting with the media Monday, Jags coach Doug Marrone told the media he’ll have updates on the Jags’ injuries from Sunday as they had various others leave the game. In addition to Robinson, that includes notables like Myles Jack (ankle), D.J. Hayden (hamstring), and CJ Henderson (shoulder), all of whom left Sunday’s game and weren’t able to return.

The news concerning Robinson is definitely a sigh of relief for fans as the Jags will need him later down the road if they are to dig themselves out of their 1-3 record. It’s also a sigh of relief for him as well as 2020 is a contract year for the former second-rounder.
