Tennessee Titans edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney saw his first (and perhaps only) season in Nashville end early after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus, but he will reportedly be fully cleared by April.
This is according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who notes that Clowney’s decision to sign with a team could be delayed as a result with free agency set to start March 17th (the legal tampering period starts two days prior).

After a ridiculously long wait, Tennessee inked Clowney to a one-year, $12.7 million deal in 2020, but didn’t get much for their money.
The former No. 1 overall pick played in just eight games before succumbing to yet another knee injury, and he produced zero sacks when on the field.

Despite a disappointing season, the Titans will likely consider bringing Clowney back.
For starters, their pass rush still stinks, and while Clowney didn’t do much to help there last season, he would bring tremendous potential upside if the Titans can bring him back at a lesser salary and as a secondary move to bolster the pass rush.
However, if Clowney is looking for and receiving offers anywhere near what the Titans paid him last season, they should move on completely.
The last we heard of Clowney, he was reportedly “definitely open” to reuniting with the Titans in 2021, according to Terry McCormick of Titan Insider, but it isn’t clear if Tennessee feels the same way.
