Report: Giants to tender FB Elijhaa Penny

The New York Giants are reportedly tending fullback Elijhaa Penny, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

An exclusive rights free agent, Penny was signed off of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad on Sept. 18, 2018. Because Penny is an exclusive rights free agent, the Giants bring him back on a very cheap deal for the 2019 season.

Penny had a solid year working as the fullback in the Giants backfield. He was versatile and strong when it came to run blocking, which is why rookie sensation Saquon Barkley was a big fan.

Penny played in 14 games for the Giants while making three starts. He only played 11.9 percent of the offensive snaps but also contributed on special teams during the 2018 season.
