Report: Giants likely to lose Lou Anarumo to Bengals

The New York Giants have already lost a few assistant coaches this offseason, including assistant defensive backs coach Deshea Townsend who jetted off to Chicago, and they may be poised to lose another.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Giants defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo will interview with the Cincinnati Bengals this week and is a favor to take over as their defensive coordinator.

Prior to joining the Giants, Anarumo had been with the Miami Dolphins since 2012, serving primarily as their defensive backs coach. He did briefly serve as the interim defensive coordinator in 2015, but returned to his former role from 2016-2017.

Before arriving in Miami, Anarumo spent time coaching at Wagner, Syracuse, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Harvard, Marshall and Purdue.
