Report: Giants’ Kadarius Toney has ‘good chance’ to play in Week 16

The New York Giants continue to deal with COVID-19 issues and a slew of injuries, but they may get some additional support back in Week 16.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who just came off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and is dealing with an oblique injury, has a “good chance” to play against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Currently, Toney is listed as questionable and expectations were that he’d miss at least one more game before returning. However, his week went smoothly and the Giants, as Rapoport alludes, may feel comfortable getting him some playing time on Sunday.

Toney has missed five games this season for a variety of reasons. He’s been dealing with a multitude of injuries, has had several stints on Reserve/COVID-19 and and can’t seem to stay on the field.

In the nine games Toney has appeared, he’s hauled in 35 receptions for 392 yards. He’s also rushed the ball three times for six yards, and completed one of three pass attempts for 19 yards.
