Report: Giants had in-person meeting with Wyoming LB Logan Wilson

One popular player who is sure to hear his name called this weekend is Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson. He apparently has a load of suitors and has made himself available to them ever since meeting with all 32 teams at the Senior Bowl.

As we all know, the New York Giants do some of their best recruiting at the Senior Bowl, drafting the game’s MVP the past two years (Kyle Lauletta, Daniel Jones) and have had conversations with this year’s MVP (Justin Herbert) although that’s likely for appearances only.

Wilson has been on the lips of many a pundit and scout this past week as teams scour the draft class for sleepers.

Wilson’s agent disagrees that his client is a sleeper…

Wilson, a 6-foot-2, 241-pound senior was a three-year captain at Wyoming and is just another one of these kids who gets the game and can succeed at the pro level.

“His play recognition, burst and lateral agility help him play faster than his timed speed and his fundamentals as a tackler are as good as you’ll find in this draft,” writes NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.

Draft analyst Tony Pauline sees Wilson and a Day 2 prospect and the interest in him will likely get him picked in Rounds 2 or 3.

“Plays heads-up football and always looks to get involved in the action. Sells out to make plays and sacrifices his body to make the stop. Unfolds plays before they happen. Rarely off his feet, takes good angles and covers a good amount of area on the field.”
