Report: Giants expected to re-sign Zak DeOssie

Zak DeOssie has only known one NFL team throughout his professional career, which has been the New York Giants.

It looks like he’ll be sticking around a little longer with Big Blue, as DeOssie is closing in on a deal to remain with the team through at least 2019.

The 34-year-old DeOssie, who initially came into the league as a linebacker, has been a vital part of the Giants’ special teams unit and has served as the team’s long-time long-snapper.

DeOssie, whose father, Steve, also played for the Giants in his career, was a fourth-round pick back in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Not only has DeOssie been a big part of the team’s special teams unit, but has also served as a long-time captain for the team as well.

DeOssie has played in every game for the Giants with the exception of four in his career, which came back in 2015 when he ended the season on injured reserve (IR) due to a wrist injury.
