New York Giants assistant defensive backs coach Anthony Blevins, who spent seven seasons as an assistant special teams coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals and Giants, is reportedly drawing significant interest around the league.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports that Blevins recently interviewed with both the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings for their special teams coordinator openings.

After Blevins’ playing career, which spanned three years between the AFL2 and XFL, he broke into coaching as a graduate assistant with Mississippi State from 2005-2007. He joined the Chicago Bears as a minority summer intern in 2008 before moving onto the Tennessee Titans as a special teams/cornerbacks coach from 2009-2011.
In both 2010 and 2011, Blevins also served as a minority summer intern for the Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts.
Prior to his aforementioned stints with the Giants and Cardinals, Blevins spent the 2012 season coaching cornerbacks at UAB.
Under head coach Joe Judge, Blevins was moved from assistant special teams coordinator to assistant defensive backs coach.
