Report: Giants agree to terms with CB James Bradberry

The New York Giants made their first foray into free agency on Monday, reportedly coming to an agreement with Carolina Panthers cornerback James Bradbury. The deal won’t be effective until Wednesday at 4:00 p.m ET.

Bradbury, 26, was a second-round pick out of Samford in the 2016 NFL Draft, taken by then Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman, who is currently in the same capacity with the Giants.

Bradbury started 60 games over four seasons in Carolina and will serve as the elder statesman in young Giants secondary that contains cornerbacks DeAndre Baker, Sam Beal, Corey Ballentine, Grant Haley and safety Jabrill Peppers.

The signing will likely mean the Giants will not be selecting a corner early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
