The Gerald McCoy sweepstakes will continue for at least a few more days as the free-agent defensive tackle takes his time with the experience on the market.
According to the team’s official website, the Cincinnati Bengals would like to get McCoy in for a visit because the coaches would like to pair him with Geno Atkins on the interior of their defensive line.
But so far it has been all quiet on the McCoy front in Cincinnati. He’s visited two other AFC North teams, Baltimore and Cleveland, while also giving Carolina a chance.
Based on the nature of the report above from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bengals might not end up involved at all. But like anything in the NFL, things can change quickly.
Bengals fans should have an interest either way because not only did the team have an apparent interest, McCoy could end up landing with a rival and put a rebuilding offensive line to test twice a year.
