Report: Free agent WR Randall Cobb visiting Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are hosting free agent receiver Randall Cobb on a visit to the team’s facility Monday, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

Cobb, an unrestricted free agent, spent the last eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

The Cowboys have a need in the slot after losing Cole Beasley in free agency to the Buffalo Bills. Beasley caught 65 passes as the offense’s slot receiver in 2018.

Cobb, 28, hauled in 38 passes for 383 yards and two touchdowns over nine games but dealt with hamstring and head injuries. He hasn’t caught at least 70 passes or gained 700 or more yards in a season since making the Pro Bowl during a breakout year in 2014.

The Packers are expected to let Cobb leave in free agency.
