Report: Former Steelers WR Martavis Bryant to apply for reinstatement to NFL

According to a report by ESPN’s Dan Graziano, former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant plans to apply for reinstatement soon in hopes of salvaging his NFL career.

Byant spent his first four years in the NFL with the Steelers, including one season that was lost to suspension. During Bryant’s troubled tenure in the league, he’s shown amazing potential but has never been able to sustain the level of discipline needed to remain employed.

In 36 career games with the Steelers, the former fourth-round pick had 126 receptions for 1,917 yards. But the remarkable stat was 17 receiving touchdowns in those 36 games.

No one here is lobbying for the Steelers to sign Bryant should he earn reinstatement after a second significant suspension. At his best, Bryant is practically unstoppable. Unfortunately, I’m not sure we will ever see Bryant at his best again.
