Report: Former Steeler WR Antonio Brown signs with the Patriots

When you talk about worst-case scenarios for the Pittsburgh Steelers, this might be it. Just hours after being released by the Oakland Raiders, ESPN NFL report Adam Schefter is reporting Brown has already come to an agreement with Brown on a one-year contract worth up to $15 million.

This feels very planned from Brown’s perspective. We saw Brown turn on the crazy when he was with Pittsburgh to be sure he was traded away. Then he kept a level head for a time in Oakland. But as soon as he wanted gone he turned the crazy back on so they would release him. Now Brown finds himself getting a huge salary from perhaps the best team in the NFL.

It’s highly unlikely the Steelers will see Brown in a Patriots uniform Sunday night but with a potential rematch in the playoffs on the horizon, you hate to think of Brown going against his old team.
