Report: Former Falcons cornerback Brian Poole signs 1-year deal with Jets

According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, former Falcons cornerback Brian Poole is signing a one-year deal with the Jets. Buster Skrine had served as their slot cornerback for the last few years, but he has signed with the Bears.

Poole went undrafted out of Florida, first signing with Atlanta in May of 2016. He played in 47 games, posting four interceptions, 19 pass breakups, five sacks and 11 QB hits. The Jets are getting an underrated defender.

The Falcons are projected to move Damontae Kazee from safety to Poole’s old slot cornerback role next season.
