REPORT: Former Bengals OT Cedric Ogbuehi visiting the Jags

With tight end Geoff Swain now onboard with the Jacksonville Jaguars, it appears the team will now look to continue upgrading their offense. Per Jordan Schultz of ESPN, their next addition could be former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, who will be visiting the team.

Ogbuehi, 26, was a first-round selection for the Bengals in 2015 (No. 28 overall) but never quite panned out to be the starter the team had hoped for. While there for four seasons, he started in just 25 games. In 2018, he only participated in two regular season games (with no starts) and was a healthy inactive for a majority of the season. Prior to that in 2017, however, he started in 13 games.

Currently the Jags are projected to start second-year player Will Richardson at right tackle and most tend to think Ogbuehi wouldn’t change that. Landing Ogbuehi also shouldn’t rule out the Jags taking a right tackle high in the draft, so at best he looks to be a depth player. Then again if depth is what they want, Ereck Flowers may be the route to go as he has way more starts to his name.
