Report: Falcons rookie Chris Lindstrom broke his foot vs. Vikings

Following the Atlanta Falcons’ 28-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, rumors began to swirl that first-round pick Chris Lindstrom had possibly fractured his foot during the game.

ESPN’s Vaughn McClure has confirmed those rumors to be true, reporting that the team’s starting right guard indeed broke his foot and is set to be in a walking boot for eight weeks. McClure also mentioned that Lindstrom has hopes of coming back for the second half of the season, but that may be wishful thinking.

For the time being, it will probably be free agent acquisition Jamon Brown taking over for Lindstrom at right guard.

Brown was inactive on Sunday, but the team signed him on a three-year, $18.75 million contract in the offseason.
