Falcons bring back DE Chris Odom

The Atlanta Falcons are giving Chris Odom another shot. According to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL Network, the team is re-signing their former defensive end. Odom was on Atlanta’s practice squad two seasons ago. He was eventually picked up by the Green Bay Packers and played seven games for them. Just before last season started, Odom was cut and landed in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football.

Odom didn’t get much time on the field in Green Bay, totaling six combined tackles and one for a loss.

Don’t expect to see much of Odom in Atlanta, either. He’ll likely be competing with Steven Means for the last edge spot on the roster.

Update:

The team has confirmed the Odom signing. It’s a two-year deal.
