Report: Falcons owner Arthur Blank bought a yacht for $180 million

The NFL has perhaps never been more of a copycat league. That’s usually referring to teams borrowing successful concepts from Super Bowl winning teams or trying to sign their players that become free agents. Apparently, sometimes it means the owners compete with each other over lavish expenses off the field.

According to a report by TMZ, Falcons owner Arthur Blank has bought a 240-foot superyacht for the price of $180 million. Here’s a few of the features.

“The brand spankin’ new 240-ft. yacht — with 11 cabins holding 23 guests plus 33 crew — is named DreAMBoat (AMB are Blank’s initials) … There’s a swimming pool and hot tub on the ship’s deck. . . and Blank’s private quarters also has its own private hot tub.”

Blank is the third NFL owner who has been reported to buy a yacht this year. In early January, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones bought a 357-foot yacht worth a reported $250 million. Jones’ boat is apparently big enough for two helicopter pads, according to Forbes.

A few weeks later, it was reported in the Washington Business Journal that Redskins owner Dan Snyder also bought a yacht. His is $100 million and has an Imax theater on board.
