Report: Falcons meeting with Tulane CB, Charlotte OL prospects

The Atlanta Falcons’ prep for the 2019 NFL draft continues. According to a report by Vaughn McClure at ESPN, the team recently brought in Tulane cornerback prospect Donnie Lewis for a visit.

Lewis was a four-year starter. He totaled seven interceptions and 37 pass breakups in his time at college and earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors. Lewis is projected as a Day 3 pick.

McClure also reports that the Falcons will host Charlotte offensive line prospect Nate Davis for a visit next week.

Atlanta has already signed three new guards in free agency, making this a somewhat puzzling visit. It’s possible they see him as a right tackle instead, where he played the 2018 season – but his size makes that questionable.

Nevertheless, Davis’ power and wide frame make him an intriguing prospect. He’s considered a mid-round sleeper.
