Report: Ex-Rams LB Mark Barron to sign with Steelers

The Los Angeles Rams cut ties with linebacker Mark Barron just before free agency began, but they were open to bringing him back. That won’t be happening, though, as he’s found a new home. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Barron is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The deal is reportedly for two years and is worth $12 million.

Barron was set to count about $9.7 million against the cap in 2019, but the Rams saved $6.3 million by cutting ties with him. He spent the last four-plus years with the Rams after coming over in a trade with the Buccaneers.

Last season, Barron made 60 tackles in 12 games, adding one sack and three tackles for loss. He also forced one fumble, giving him five in his career.
