Report: Ex-Giant B.W. Webb to sign with Bengals

The New York Giants need to address their cornerback situation this offseason, and many believed that would lead to the team re-signing B.W. Webb.

That is not going to happen however, as Webb will sign a multi-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, reports Dianna Russini of ESPN.

Webb, who was a fourth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys out of William & Mary in the 2013 NFL Draft, has been a journeyman player, to say the least.

In addition to the Cowboys, Webb has also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns and, of course, the Giants. The Bengals will become Webb’s eighth team in seven years.

Webb stepped up and played exceptionally well for the Giants in 2018, starting 13 of the 16 games in which he played, recording a career-high 59 tackles to go along with one interception and six passes defensed.

In 65 career games, Webb has recorded 127 tackles, 20 passes defensed, one sack and three interceptions.
