Report: Ex-Colts TE Eric Ebron headed to Pittsburgh

After two polarizing seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, it was clear as day that tight end Eric Ebron would be on the move this offseason — something the Colts seemed to make abundantly clear entering free agency.

Where Ebron would end up was the only lingering question, and that now has an answer.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Ebron has agreed to a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After joining Indianapolis in 2018, Ebron seemed to revitalize his career, appearing in all 16 games for just the second time since entering the league, while hauling in 66 receptions for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns.

However, things did not go as planned in 2019 and Ebron’s inconsistencies appeared to resurface. He missed five games due to injury, expressed a public frustration over his role and caught just 31 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns.

With Ebron now officially out, the Colts will continue their hunt for another tight end.
