Report: Eagles TE Richard Rodgers could miss extended time with foot injury

The Philadelphia Eagles could be in the market for another backup tight end after Richard Rodgers was carted off from Monday’s joint practice against the Baltimore Ravens with a foot injury. According to Reuben Frank, Rodgers is currently undergoing further testing.

Doug said TE Richard Rodgers, carted off the field yesterday, is undergoing more tests today. It did not look good.

Derek Gunn of NBC Sports Philadelphia is reporting that Rodgers could be on the mend for the foreseeable future after being carted off from Monday’s practice.

The injury to Rodgers should allow Josh Perkins to show more if his skill level, especially with Dallas Goedert out until the regular season starts.
