Eagles QB Nate Sudfeld signs RFA tender

The Philadelphia Eagles have their backup quarterback in the fold, as the team announced that Nate Sudfeld signed his restricted free agent tender.

The tender carries a cap hit of just over $3 million in cap space, and although it’s not the money Nick Foles made last year, it almost assures Sudfeld the backup quarterback position. It’s also a huge raise for Sudfeld, who had made just over $500,000 last season.

Sudfeld is a talented signal caller who completed 20 of 25 passes for 156 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions in relief work for Nick Foles over the past two seasons.
