Report: Eagles nearing deal with Vinny Curry

The Eagles finalizing a deal to bring back a vital member of their Super Bowl LII winning team, as Philly.com’s Zach Berman is reporting that defensive end Vinny Curry is close to signing a new free-agent deal with the Eagles.

Curry, 30, was with the Eagles from 2012-2017. Played for Tampa Bay last season. Would add depth to the Eagles defensive line.

Curry is returning to Philadelphia after spending last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Curry totaled 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks in one frustrating campaign. The Eagles will likely now pass on selecting a defensive end early on in the draft.
