Report: Eagles’ Fletcher Cox grabbed shotgun to stop intruder at his home

A scary story out of New Jersey about Philadelphia Eagles star defensive lineman Fletcher Cox.

According to Action News, Cox was forced to grab a shotgun at his Mullica Hill, NJ, home, when a man showed up looking for his ex-girlfriend.

The man, Corbyn Nyemah, according to court records, allegedly damaged his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle before attempting to forcibly enter the home by throwing rocks through the front door.

Per the report:

Court records also reveal surveillance cameras at Cox’s home capturing Nyemah walking around the exterior of the property with a baseball bat and attempting to enter the garage multiple times.

After Cox armed himself with a shotgun, he called police reporting a man attempting to break into his home.

Nyemah then fled in his Porsche SUV.

The Affidavit of Probable Cause says a police pursuit began but due to “erratic driving and identification of the suspect” the pursuit ended at the Commodore Barry Bridge.

An Action News reporter went to the Marcus Hook, PA, home of the alleged perpetrator, who posted bond after being captured by U.S. Marshals late last week.

Nyemah said he wanted to talk to his ex-girlfriend and believed they were working on rekindling their romance, according to the reporter. A temporary restraining order has been granted for Nyemah’s former girlfriend, who allegedly received a photo by text of him brandishing a firearm after the police pursuit.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson addressed the situation with the media Wednesday.
