Report: Eagles called Dolphins to inquire about WR Kenny Stills

The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of those teams in the league who have fleshed out their roster in recent years by trading late round draft selections for established veterans. The latest veteran the Eagles called in inquire about? Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills.

That call, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, took place before the Eagles finalized a trade to bring back wide receiver Desean Jackson from Tampa Bay.

The Dolphins, according to McLane, have fielded multiple calls for Stills from several teams. But “Miami had no interest at (the) asking price.”

This will be something to monitor going forward, but at least for now it seems as though the Dolphins know what they value players at: both those on their roster and across the free agent market. And while they’re looking to shake things up, they’re not going to overpay or give away players just for the sake of change.
