Report: Eagles agree to 3-year deal with LB L.J. Fort

The Philadelphia Eagles intend to sign a linebacker on Thursday, just not any of the big named free agents you’d expect. According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, the Birds will sign linebacker L.J. Fort to a three-year deal pending a physical.

According to Rueben Frank, the Eagles signed Fort, a journeyman who’s played on four different teams to be a backup and special teamer. Fort will earn an $875,000 signing bonus and base salaries of $1.025 million in 2019 and $1.5 million in 2020 and 2021.
