Report: DT Gerald McCoy’s visit with Ravens ongoing through Tuesday evening

Per Jeff Zebriec of The Athletic, the Baltimore Ravens and free agent defensive tackle Gerald McCoy were still meeting with each other through Tuesday evening with speculation that the two parties could talk through Wednesday morning.

ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted on Tuesday that meetings between the Ravens and McCoy were said to be “going well.” Anderson tweeted later on Tuesday evening that McCoy was at dinner with Baltimore players and coaches.

McCoy’s meeting with the Ravens comes after he visited with the Cleveland Browns on Friday and left their team facility without a deal. Baltimore is the second team McCoy has officially met with. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns, Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals are all said to be one of “three or four teams” that McCoy is interested in signing with.

If all goes to plan for Baltimore, McCoy’s visit won’t wrap up until a deal is inked. As ESPN’s Jamison Hensley keenly observes, the Ravens don’t like to let their visiting free agents walk.

“Baltimore pulls out all the stops when it comes to recruiting, which is why this franchise has built a reputation on not letting coveted free agents leave without deals,” writes Hensley. “In recent years, wide receivers Steve Smith Sr. and Mike Wallace both canceled their trips to New England and signed with Baltimore during their visits.”
