Report: Draymond Green and D’Angelo Russell out against Rockets

The Golden State Warriors are headed on the road for the next three games, and they’ll be without one of their key veterans for the entire road trip.

Draymond Green will reportedly miss the team’s road trip and won’t travel with the team, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Along with Green, Russell will be out Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets. Per Slater, Russell could return Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Green has missed the past two games with a sprained left index finger that he suffered against the San Antonio Spurs last Friday. Russell has missed the past two games with a right ankle sprain he suffered during the Spurs game.

With Russell and Green out Wednesday, the Warriors will reportedly continue to use their starting lineup of Ky Bowman, Omari Spellman, Eric Paschall, Glenn Robinson III and Willie Cauley-Stein, per Slater.

That lineup, which consists of three players 23 or younger, showed out Monday in a win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Paschall was the headliner, scoring a career-high 34 points and grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. Cauley-Stein, Bowman, and Spellman each scored in double figures, and Damion Lee and Alec Burks combined for 31 points off the bench.

Though the Warriors have struggled with multiple player injuries to begin the season, a bright spot is that some of the young players are having opportunities to grow and show their skills.
