Report: Dolphins scheduled to bring in UDFA QB for rookie camp

According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the Miami Dolphins are bringing in another fresh arm to South Florida. Before you panic, know this — the Dolphins’ latest move is to bring in undrafted free agent quarterback Sean McGuire of Western Illinois for this weekend’s rookie minicamp.

The Dolphins’ quarterback room looks much different than the last few seasons under Adam Gase, but none of the new faces are rookies — so the Dolphins need some fresh meat to help keep their mini-camp practices humming and running on schedule.

McGuire, who played in 44 career games with the Leathernecks, doesn’t appear to be any legitimate threat to make the roster in 2019. Instead, look for him to help give Miami’s young additions a fresh look during their first activities as a member of the teal and orange.

The Dolphins 2019 rookie minicamp opens on Thursday, May 9th and runs through Sunday, May 12th.
