Report: Dolphins long snapper John Denney will return in 2019

The longest-tenured Dolphins player will return for his 15th season in uniform.

According to Denney’s agent Ian Greengross, the long snapper will return for the 2019 season. Since he joined the Dolphins in 2005, Denney has played in 224 consecutive games, which is a franchise record.

With the Dolphins rebuilding for the next few seasons along with a brand new coaching staff headed by head coach Brian Flores, Denney’s future was in question. However, Denney, who will turn 41 in December has decided to return to the Dolphins.

Despite his age, there’s no reason to suspect Denney’s play will drop off in 2019.
