Report: DL Corey Peters’ knee injury is season-ending

The Arizona Cardinals have suffered a number of injuries on the defensive line, They already have three defensive linemen on injured reserve.

They will be adding a fourth.

Veteran Corey Peters suffered a knee injury in the Cardinals’ 32-30 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. It didn’t look good initially and head coach Kliff Kingsbury intimated the same on Monday.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Peters is done for the season.

His injury will land him on injured reserve, joining fellow defensive linemen Zach Allen and rookies Leki Fotu and Rashard Lawrence.

Peters finishes the season with 10 tackles and two sacks in nine games.

The team captain is 32 years old and is in the final year of his contract with the Cardinals.

He has been with the Cardinals since 2015. If this ends up being his final season with the team, he will have had 146 tackles and eight sacks in 67 games.

As of Wednesday morning, he has not yet been placed on injured reserve.
